Job Creation

Co-working Space

The provision of co-working spaces can open up a wealth of opportunities for local people and businesses. Providing the space for new local start-ups and small businesses to innovate, collaborate and expand can help grow the local economy and offer jobs to many locals.

Co-working hubs and the Local Enterprise Partnership should be an integral part of the community services, offering training and skills workshops.

Job Creation

The Greater London Authority and the London Local Enterprise Partnership should play a crucial role in ensuring infrastructure projects and the development of this site go ahead to maximise good job creation, particularly in sustainable and green sector of the economy.

A policy framework should be established to ensure opportunities for jobs and training are maximised for local people.

The West Midlands Combined Authority established a procurement policy in 2010 that helped to ensure new jobs in new infrastructure projects such as house building went to local people. Contracts with developers and public sector bodies ensured jobs and skills requirements were met.
